Wallace Weir Fish Rescue Facility is under construction!

Engineering, design, and permitting was completed in record time. cbec supported KSN and RD108 by preparing the hydraulic analysis and modeling of the operable gated structure and fish rescue facility. For more information on this project check out Daily Democrat.

Our very own Matt Weber on Capital Public Radio

Each spring, a group of UC Davis student scientists and their professors take a whitewater rafting trip through the Grand Canyon to study a river that sustains 40 million people. Two cbec projects nominated for the UK River Prize

cbec UK worked on two projects in the UK nominated for the UK River Prize at The River Restoration Centre's Annual UK Conference. The River Wandle and The Allt Lorgy are two of the four projects nominated in which cbec had an integral role in feasibility, design, and implementation. On Saturday, March 12th, 2016, at approximately 11am, a significant event started to occur in the operation of the flood control system in the Sacramento valley. The Fremont weir began to spill... See what it looks like when over 57,000 acres of land are inundated when the water in the Sacramento River reaches an elevation of 33.8ft.

California Stormwater Quality Association's 11th Annual Conference

cbec was a proud sponsor of the California Stormwater Quality Association's 11th Annual Conference located in Monterey, CA. The topic of the conference was "Stormwater - Are We Making a Difference?" The 2015 CASQA Annual Conference theme questions the link between stormwater programs and environmental outcomes, and reflects the spatial and temporal complexity of stormwater improvement in urban areas and the need for innovative approaches.

Santa Clara River Estuary Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Feasibility Study

cbec completes the Santa Clara River Estuary Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Feasibility Study. Principally funded through the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Fisheries Restoration Grant Program (FRGP), the Project reflects the tireless river stewardship work of the Wishtoyo Foundation and the Wishtoyo Foundation's Ventura Coastkeeper Program plus strong working partnerships with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and California State Parks. Retained as lead consultant for the Project, cbec directed a team of consultants in a number field studies and assessments including: 2D hydrodynamic and sediment transport modeling of the dynamic river and estuarine systems, temperature and circulation modeling, geomorphic analysis, targeted bathymetric/topographic surveys, wetland delineation, habitat analysis, and vegetation mapping.
